Fire Escape Inspection & Maintenance Services
Our inspection and maintenance services include:
Check ladders ways and platforms are free of obstructions
Check all fire escape fasteners are tight from roof to lowest platform
Report any rust forming on the fire escape system
Report any exterior wall penetrations that need to be sealed around support beams and anchor bolts

Preventative Maintenance to keep the system in working order
Bristle-brush clean moving joints of drop ladders
Lower, inspect and raise drop ladders
Inspect locking/release mechanism and retracting cable
Complete lubrication of all moving joints and the retracting cable
A digital camera is used to photo document areas of concern, and images will be emailed.
An Inspection Certificate is generated for your records and/or submittal to City Housing or Fire Department inspections, and Insurance Companies.
Escape Artists provides a 1-year warrantee on Workmanship and Materials.

We charge $1.00 per mile to properties beyond the San Francisco city borders.
Bay Bridge ($7.00) Toll charge will also be applied.

SF – Berkeley = $ 36.00
SF – Burlingame = $ 40.00
SF – San Mateo = $ 46.00
SF – Redwood City = $ 54.00

New 316-type stainless steel cable replacement with new galvanized steel clamp installed on the drop ladder
COLD GALVANIZING SERVICE FOR ACCORDIAN DROP LADDERS
- Wire brush all of the drop ladder rivets, retaining washers and cotter pins
- Clean and apply cold galvanizing primer and two coats of light grey enamel
REPLACEMENT DROP LADDER INSTRUCTION PLACARD
Installation of a new galvanized instruction placard with "S" hooks for the fire escape drop ladder
REPLACEMENT DROP LADDER SAFETY CHAIN
Installation of a new 3/16" galvanized link chain connected at one end with new galvanized bolt set and a large stainless steel "S" hook at the other end
NEW DETACHABLE CRANK HANDLE WITH "HOLSTER"
